Juan Samudio, a Colombian-born photographer and content creator, has mastered this art. With a background in portrait and fashion photography, he has expanded his expertise into concert photography and travel content creation, working with top festivals, artists, and global brands. His journey from an ambitious teenager to an in-demand creative is nothing short of inspiring.
From Passion to Profession
Juan’s love for photography started early. His interest in computers and editing in high school introduced him to the world of visual storytelling. In 2019, he attended a photography workshop in Los Angeles hosted by Jon Snip and Liquidverve, where he discovered his love for portrait and fashion photography. He quickly built a unique style known for vibrant colors and cinematic depth, gaining a following on Instagram.
Over time, he sought new creative challenges and found himself drawn to concert photography. A defining moment came when he photographed Måneskin’s concert in Colombia using only his phone. The electrifying energy of live music ignited a passion for capturing artists in their rawest, most expressive forms. Determined to break into the industry, Juan secured media passes for major festivals like La Solar and Festival Estéreo Picnic, photographing global superstars like The Chainsmokers, 30 Seconds to Mars, Tiësto, and Alan Walker.
Travel Photography and Storytelling
While concerts provide an adrenaline rush, Juan’s creative curiosity led him to explore travel content creation. His photography evolved beyond staged portraits and fast-moving concerts into something more immersive—capturing the soul of places, cultures, and experiences.
His eye for unique compositions and compelling narratives has led him to work with hotels, Airbnbs, and travel brands, showcasing breathtaking destinations. Juan doesn’t just take pictures of landscapes; he documents the feeling of being there, blending lifestyle elements with environmental storytelling. His cinematic approach to travel photography makes his audience feel as if they are stepping into the frame.
Currently, he is working on an ambitious country-wide travel campaign in collaboration with global brands. His goal is to spotlight hidden gems, diverse cultures, and immersive travel experiences, inspiring people to see the world differently.

Juan’s passion extends beyond his personal success. He is committed to mentoring emerging photographers and artists. As a member of Portrait Shooters, one of the largest photography communities worldwide, he organizes events, workshops, and educational content, empowering photographers to refine their skills and break into the industry.
Additionally, Juan produced “Vos Podes,” the #1 podcast in Colombia, which gave artists and creatives a platform to share their journeys. His vision is to create a supportive ecosystem where artists thrive without the burdens of corporate limitations.
