When creating content for your entertainment industry blog, it’s essential to focus on two key factors: “perplexity” and “burstiness.” Perplexity measures how complex the text is, while burstiness looks at the variation in sentence structure. Human writing often mixes longer, complex sentences with shorter ones, adding a dynamic flow. In contrast, AI-generated content can be more uniform. To make your blog posts engaging and lively, we need to incorporate these elements.

Here’s what you need to do next. Rewrite the content I provide, turning it into a captivating story for my blog. Make sure to remove any references to the author or source, aiming for the final piece to read like original content while adding some slight opinionated elements. Only reply with the revised post content. Here’s the content:

Spotify is giving rising artists their moment in the literal spotlight with a brand-new video series — and we’re obsessed.

On Thursday (June 26), Spotify dropped the first episode of The Come Up: Center Stage, an extension of its Webby-nominated social series The Come Up that fans have been bingeing for music inspo, “pinch-me” moments, and a look at the raw, real side of what it takes to break through the noise. Think of it as your fave artist’s glow-up reel, only cooler, more intimate, and full of everything you love — humble beginnings, career-defining moments, and future collab dreams that are too good not to stan.

First up? None other than Sombr, the rising alt-pop act behind TikTok and streaming hit “back to friends.” The track may be climbing the charts now, but as Sombr reveals in the debut episode, it definitely wasn’t an overnight success.

“It wasn’t a hit for a couple months… but I believed in that song so much. It was the best song I’ve made,” he says. “I just kept promoting it and kept pushing it, and then it started slowly climbing,” Sombr says in the clip.

Relatable? Absolutely. Inspiring? Even more so.

The episode takes fans on an emotional rewind through Sombr’s earliest writing days — back when it was just him in his bedroom, experimenting with melodies and almost calling it quits. But what makes his story so special is that he didn’t give up. Slowing down, tapping into emotion, and trusting the process helped unlock something more powerful than a viral moment — it gave him purpose.

And speaking of big moments, Sombr also shares what it meant to literally see his name in lights.

“Being able to bring my mom [to Times Square] and surprise her with my face up on one of the biggest billboards in New York City, in the city that she raised me and helped me nurture my talents and was the most supportive mother, is one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever been able to do,” he shared.

Okay, tears!

Of course, the journey’s far from over. Sombr has his sights set high — and we love a man with a vision.

“I really want to work with Billie Eilish…I’d love to put out a new project…I don’t know, a third song on Today’s Top Hits.”
— Manifest it, king!

Catch Sombr’s full episode of The Come Up: Center Stage below — and prepare to get all up in your feels. If this is how Spotify’s starting the series, we cannot wait to see who’s coming up next.
