Sexyy Red honored the late Rich Homie Quan during her concert at the Pinnacle Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska, by performing his hit single “Type of Way”. The song, released in 2013, has become a classic in the hip-hop community. The show was part of Sexyy Red’s Sexyy Red 4 President Tour, which featured Kodak Black as a supporting act.
The tribute was posted on Twitter by Sexyy Red herself, with a caption that read: “Long Live @RichHomieQuan!! [pic.twitter.com/aNlPmIdM5P]”.
Rich Homie Quan’s passing has led to an outpouring of tributes from the music community. Playboi Carti, a fellow Atlanta native, led the tributes, posting an old video and photo of Quan and his former Rich Gang collaborator Young Thug on social media. He also mentioned Quan during his acceptance speech for Artist of the Year at Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Power Players event in New York City, saying: “RIP Rich Homie Quan”.
Other artists, including Metro Boomin, 2 Chainz, Quavo, DJ Drama, and Lloyd Banks, have also paid their respects to Quan on social media.
